The WMG Foundation was part of this year’s Future Adria Summit in Tivat, one of the most significant regional events bringing together leaders, investors and experts from various fields. On behalf of the Foundation, Director Irena Petrović took part as a panellist, speaking about leadership development and the challenges on the path to leading positions.
The Future Adria Summit, previously known as the ESG Adria Summit, this year again focused on the topics of the future of business, leadership and social development, bringing together key actors shaping a sustainable and inclusive future for the region.
Irena Petrović took part in the panel “From Pipeline to Leadership — What It Actually Takes”, where the panellists exchanged experiences on how to build sustainable career paths, improve gender equality and empower new generations of leaders.
In a dynamic discussion with representatives of different sectors, the importance of continuous investment in people was highlighted, as well as the creation of an environment that encourages the development of potential and enables equal opportunities for advancement. On this occasion, Irena Petrović spoke about the importance of connecting different sectors and initiatives that contribute to the development of society, as well as the importance of supporting young people and women in the process of professional empowerment, also referring to the recent launch of the SpOna women’s initiative, aimed at empowering and networking women.
“Society can truly progress only if women have equal opportunities and participate equally in its development. Despite the challenges and stereotypes that are still present, we believe that through joint efforts we can create an environment in which every woman will have the opportunity to fulfil her full potential. That is precisely why we launched the SpOna initiative, as a space for connecting and cooperation among all those who share this vision. Change is a process, but examples of developed societies show that it is possible and attainable,” said Irena Petrović, Director of the WMG Foundation.
The participation of the WMG Foundation at the Future Adria Summit once again confirms the commitment of both the Foundation and WMG (Wireless Media Group), a leader in the fields of digital transformation and media, to advancing socially responsible practices and actively contributing to leadership development in the region. Through initiatives such as this, the Foundation continues to build platforms for the exchange of knowledge, the empowerment of individuals and the launching of positive social change.
