WMG Foundation was a partner of the CEBAC European Leadership Cocktail, an event that brought together representatives of bilateral chambers of commerce and business associations, the diplomatic corps, the business community and other high-ranking guests in Belgrade.

The event, which traditionally serves as a meeting point and a place for connecting the European business and diplomatic community in Serbia, was also marked this year by the formal handover of the one-year presidency of CEBAC – the Council of European Business Associations and Chambers of Commerce in Serbia. The presidency was handed over by Confindustria Serbia to the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
This special event was also an opportunity for WMG Foundation to present new projects, and the cocktail was attended by Ana Aleksić, President of the Board of WMG Foundation, and Irena Petrović, Director of WMG Foundation, who addressed the participants and presented the projects through which the Foundation contributes to issues of importance to Serbia and the region. In her address, Petrović particularly emphasized WMG Foundation’s commitment to contributing through its initiatives to the European path of Serbia and the region, as well as to a better understanding of that process.
“We believe that Serbia belongs in the European Union and that is why, through various projects, we strive to contribute to the progress of our country and the region on the path towards European integration. It is important to us that this process be more understandable, accessible and closer to citizens, but also that, through concrete initiatives, we create space for a higher-quality and better-informed dialogue about where Serbia stands today and what the next steps are,” Petrović said.

Petrović also announced a new WMG Foundation project dedicated to Serbia’s progress in European integration, which will be presented for the first time at the BELTALKS: Belgrade Economic Talks conference, organised by GLOBSEC
The new project is a continuation of WMG Foundation’s activities aimed at bringing the European integration process closer to citizens and encouraging dialogue about Serbia’s European path. More details about the project will be presented during its official launch at BELTALKS.
The partnership with CEBAC is part of WMG Foundation’s broader commitment to being an active partner to initiatives that connect the business, institutional and diplomatic communities in Serbia and contribute to strengthening dialogue on the country’s European future.
