At a time when health information is accessible at every turn, identifying reliable sources and distinguishing facts from misconceptions is becoming increasingly vital. From claims about diet and supplements to erroneous beliefs regarding disease prevention, diagnostics, and treatment, misinformation directly influences the decisions we make about our own health.<\/p>\n
As part of the Prevention as a Guarantee project, the WMG Foundation has launched the campaign “Your Doctor Has Something to Tell You”, dedicated to debunking common health myths and making science-backed information accessible to the wider public.<\/p>\n
The campaign features a series of short educational video clips and articles in which doctors and experts answer questions and clarify common misconceptions frequently encountered by the public online and on social media. Each contributor covers topics within their area of expertise, offering professional explanations and highlighting the importance of verified information.<\/p>\n
Participants include specialists from various fields of medicine and healthcare: Dr Magdalena Radovi\u0107, radiologist; \u017darko \u017divojinovi\u0107, nutritionist-dietitian; Dr Ivana Mini\u0107, medical oncologist; Dr Igor Plje\u0161a, gynaecologist; Dr Branislav \u0160utakovi\u0107, paediatrician; and Maja Vuka\u0161inovi\u0107-\u0160evar, psychotherapist.<\/p>\n
This diversity of professional perspectives allows health misconceptions to be addressed from multiple angles. Topics covered include the importance of proper nutrition, supplement use, and understanding medical treatment, as well as prevention, diagnostics, early disease detection, women\u2019s health, childcare, and the significance of mental health. Particular emphasis is placed on identifying unreliable information and understanding the importance of making health decisions backed by expert advice and science-based facts.<\/p>\n
Alongside the video content, the campaign is accompanied by a series of articles, ensuring a more detailed look at the experts’ answers and providing the audience with further explanations on topics that frequently cause confusion.<\/p>\n
