How much progress has Serbia really made on its path towards the European Union, in which areas has it achieved the greatest advances, where are reforms lagging behind and how far is it from meeting the conditions for membership \u2013 as of today, the answers to these questions can be found in one place. At the BELTALKS: Belgrade Economic Talks conference, organised by GLOBSEC, EUmeter was presented, a new platform of the WMG Foundation for the systematic and transparent monitoring of Serbia\u2019s progress in the process of accession to the European Union.<\/p>\n

EUmeter brings together relevant data on Serbia\u2019s level of preparedness for EU membership, implementation of reforms, alignment of national legislation with the European Union acquis, fulfilment of obligations by the competent institutions and compliance with deadlines. In this way, it becomes possible to follow in one place not only what Serbia has done, but also what it still needs to do on its European path.<\/p>\n

The platform was conceived and developed by the WMG Foundation as part of the EUpravo zato initiative, in cooperation with a team of experts in European integration. EUmeter draws on relevant strategic documents, reform plans and findings of the European Commission, and presents the data in a way that allows progress to be monitored more easily and Serbia to be compared with other candidate countries.<\/p>\n

The aim of EUmeter is to make the European integration process more measurable, transparent and understandable, so that citizens, the media, the expert community and decision-makers can more easily follow what is happening with the reforms planned under Plan 2026, adopted by the Government of Serbia.<\/p>\n

The EUmeter platform, available at eumeter.rs, was presented as part of the BELTALKS: Belgrade Economic Talks conference, organised by GLOBSEC. The WMG Foundation is the General Partner of the conference, while EUpravo zato is the Media Partner.<\/p>\n

About the WMG Foundation<\/p>\n

The WMG Foundation was established in 2024 with the aim of developing and supporting initiatives that contribute to the long-term sustainable development of Serbia and the Western Balkans and to their greater European and global competitiveness. Drawing on the expertise of professionals and the resources available from its founder, WMG (Wireless Media Group), the Foundation contributes to economic, social and environmental sustainability through projects, partnerships and public initiatives. About the EUpravo Zato initiative<\/p>\n

EUpravo Zato is an initiative of the WMG Foundation dedicated to strengthening mutual understanding, dialogue and trust between the citizens of Serbia and the Western Balkans and the European Union. Through clear, verified and citizen-friendly information, the initiative brings people closer to the values, policies and opportunities offered by the European Union, as well as their concrete impact on people\u2019s everyday lives. Particular focus is placed on understanding reforms, European programmes, investments and EU projects, as well as recognizing the importance of stability, security, economic development and regional cooperation. Through its website and social media, the initiative reaches a broad audience and contributes to the visibility of topics relevant to the European future of the region.
