With the aim of improving healthcare services, the WMG Foundation has donated state-of-the-art medical equipment to the Neonatology Department of the Užice Health Centre. The donation comprises an infusion syringe pump and a pulse oximeter, significantly contributing to safer treatment and better care for the youngest patients.
“This equipment is essential for our day-to-day work with newborns, especially those who require oxygen therapy or infusions. The pulse oximeter allows us to monitor oxygen saturation and heart rate, while the infusion syringe pump enables precise dosing of medications and solutions, thereby improving both safety and the quality of treatment,” said Dr Nataša Đurković, Head of the Neonatology Department at Užice General Hospital.
Dr Ivana Milićević, Deputy Director of the Užice Health Centre, emphasized the importance of the donation: “The Užice Health Centre covers a wide region with 13 facilities, and our neonatology department is the largest. The new devices will greatly facilitate our daily work in intensive care and enhance the quality of service, which is crucial for the safety and care of our youngest patients.”
This donation marks a significant step in the WMG Foundation’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of healthcare in the community, particularly for newborns and children. The aim of these initiatives is to ensure more precise treatment and quicker responses by the medical team, directly impacting the quality of care and patient safety.
“The project ‘Prevention as a Guarantee,’ launched last year, aims to raise awareness of the importance of preventive health check-ups, as well as to advance Serbia’s healthcare system. By organizing various events, workshops, and conferences, along with making actual donations, we strive—together with healthcare professionals and the Ministry of Health—to contribute to the improvement of healthcare in line with modern trends,” concluded Irena Petrović, Director of the WMG Foundation.
